REPORTS TO:  Head Baker/Assistant Baker


Responsible for various baking tasks as assigned by the Head Baker or the Assistant Baker. These tasks may include working with knives, various types of scales, mixers and various types of ovens. The baker is responsible for preparing the recipes/items to the recipe specifications. All procedures will be done with all state and local sanitation rules and regulations in mind.


  • Responsible for learning and being familiar with all Fair Oaks Farm’s operations and being able to answer general questions regarding the property.
  • Be prepared to alter/change your work schedule and /or prep list to reflect changing customer request’s.
  • The ability to read and interpret all recipes.
  • The ability to work with little or no supervision as well as a member of a team.
  • Ability to communicate well with fellow team members and management.
  • Ability to do basic mathematics such as addition, multiplication, subtraction and division.
  • Ability to complete listed tasks in a timely manner.
  • Ability to multitask throughout the day.
  • Ability to keep your station and the bakery clean throughout the day.
  • Communicate any problems or concerns to the Head Baker or Assistant Baker in a timely manner.
  • Deliver baked gods orders to the venues on time when directed by the Head Baker or Assistant Baker.
  • Conduct yourself according to the guidelines in the Fair Oaks Farms Employee Handbook.
  • Perform all duties as assigned by the Head Baker, Assistant Baker, Executive Chef or other management.
  • Ability to understand, speak and write in English.


  • Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively.
  • Must be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 LB.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must understand and demonstrate good sanitation procedures.
  • Must be able to work in a wide range of temperature.
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced, high volume operation.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.


  • Must have at least 1 year of baking experience in a fast paced, high volume operation.
  • Must successfully pass a background check.
  • Must have food handlers certification.
